CAROLE KING: Now and Forever
Carole King is an extraordinary composer and singer-songwriter. Her early song-writing in the late 50's and 60's with partner Gerry Goffin brought them much success for numerous artists in the pop and soft rock fields. Artists such as The Drifters, The Shirelles, Bobby Vee, Little Eva, Tony Orlando, The Monkees, and many more had some of the biggest hits of their careers.
King's success as a performer and lyricist did not come until the early 70's with her breakthrough album "Tapestry" which topped the US album chart for 15 weeks and remained on the charts for more than six years. Since then, she has won countless awards and honors for her music, and continues to perform to packed houses even today. Her life story is told in a successful Broadway Musical entitled, "Beautiful" and is a 2014 Tony Award winner.
