Songs In The Key Of Stevie Wonder
Stevie Wonder, blind from birth, was raised in inner-city Detroit. He was a skilled musician by age 8, and made his recording debut at age 12, thanks to Motown President, Berry Gordy. Gordy named him “Little Stevie Wonder,” and Stevie met with success on his recording of “Fingertips,” playing a mean harmonica. He, of course, grew into a fine musician, playing several instruments, but also was a very talented songwriter who had many Top 40 Hits over the years.
He has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors throughout his lifetime. Among these include the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and being a Kennedy Center Honoree.
Phil discusses Stevie's early career up through his current music and sings such hits as: “You Are the Sunshine of My Life,” “I Just Called to Say I Love You,” “My Cherie Amore,” “All Is Fair In Love” and many more. Join Phil for this educational, entertaining program.
